What is kief?

Ever wonder what to call all those tiny, sticky crystals that cover cannabis flowers? They are called kief, also known as dry sift or pollen. Kief is an accumulation of trichomes and resin glands sifted from flowers. It collects the most potent part of the cannabis flower making it packed with a high level of cannabinoids.

How to use kief
-Sprinkle it on top of your packed bowl of cannabis flower.
-Sprinkle it into your joint or roll a twax joint, which is a kief-coated joint.

As a frequent smoker with a really high tolerance, I find I crown nearly every bowl I take and if I forget it just doesn’t hit quite the same, haha. I love having this on hand to enhance my bowls or joints when I’m feeling fancy. I’ve bought the 1g plenty of times before and it’s always shown up in a super convenient little plastic thing with a lid on top, but anything 3.5 and above seems to come in the same rip-open wrapper that buds do which makes it just a little tricker to get the kief out without making a mess 😛 10/10, love this stuff!

Have purchased this many times as I love sprinkling it into blunts/bowls. It’s perfect to give your session a little kick! I always try to have some on hand – I just don’t feel right without it haha 🙂

Cannabis has both medicinal and recreational benefits. Medicinally it is most famous for relieving pain, stress, and insomnia. It may also improve mood and appetite. Every strain has a unique cannabinoid and terpene profile, which leads to distinctive therapeutic value and experiential effects. For those looking for a recreational experience, look for strains with THC — the only known cannabinoid with psychotropic effects.

What Are Extracts?

The cannabis dictionary is a jumbled collection of jargon. It’s quite confusing if you are unfamiliar with the different terms. The term extract is a broad category, covering any concentrated form of the original plant. Extracts come in many different forms, all depending on how the plant is processed. That means kief, hash, oils, isolates, and more are all technically extracts. Very simply, an extract is an accumulation of the most desirable medicinal properties, reduced into a condensed and more concentrated form.

Building on a Thousand Years of Experience

Humans have been enjoying cannabis extracts for a millennia or more. Hash and kief and other cannabis resins have held culturally, spiritually, and medicinally important roles in cultures around the world, from China to India to the Middle East. Today, with the benefits of modern technology, extracts have gone through a remarkable transformation. Extractions are not what they used to be.

From Hash to Isolates, an Extract for Everyone

Hash may be the OG of extracts, but today there are dozens of different kinds. Each extract varies based on the method of extraction. Hash and kief are the simplest, essentially a compact collection of the trichomes pulled off the flowers. Additional processing creates stronger and more refined products, from Pheonix tears to rosins. Now, technology has made it possible to develop isolates, reaching up to 99 percent purity. No matter your personal preference or medicinal need, there is an extract waiting for you.

Potent and Pure, Every Single Time

When it comes to extracts, BC Medi Chronic cares about the potency and purity of the final product. Extracts require additional processing, but that should never degrade the integrity of the original plant material. We only source clean, pure, and high grade extracts from trusted sources. That means no contamination from heavy metals, petrochemicals, or pesticides—just a beautiful, potent medicinal experience.
